Pamela Kushner is a Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the University of California. She is also a board-certified family physician with a private practice in Long Beach, California, for over 20 years that specializes in preventive medical care. She also volunteers as a Clinical Professor at an indigent clinic in Santa Ana, CA. Dr Kushner received both her bachelor’s and master’s degree in biology from University of California, Los Angeles, USA. She then went on to obtain her medical degree from the University of California at Irvine.

Dr Kushner’s research interests focus on DPP-4 inhibitors, minimizing the risk of hypoglycaemia in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus, HTN and new paradigms for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes. Dr Kushner also devotes a proportion of her time educating other doctors and clinicians on the newest medical therapies.

Dr Kushner was listed in Best Doctors in America every year since 2015 and has also received the Senior Resident Clinical Professor of the Year Award from the University of California, Irvine Medical Centre (2015). Dr Kushner is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, from the State of California, and has served as Chairperson for the Drugs and Devices Committee. Dr Kushner is a reviewer for the Medical Board of California, and has widely published in medical and lay journals including STROKE and Woman’s Medicine.
